Up to this point, you've read all you can about Apple's new product, from the early speculative stories, to the official announcement.
The highlight for me was the ebook reader. Up to this point, you had to covert PDFs to JPEGs if you wanted to read an ebook on most e-readers...or buy a Kindle from Amazon. The iPad will actually allow you read ebooks, which you can download from all the major publishers, which really is a threat to the printed page (in a positive way, for tree-lovers). No one is thinking about how this will affect the comic-book industry.
Granted, file-sharers have been downloading and reading comic books for years now, using a comic book reader, JPEGs or PDFs. The iPad is the natural evolution - back issues and new issues alike are inevitabley going to be released on Apple's revolutionary product. Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse and all the independent publishers have yet to make a statement, but it's just a question of time.
Mark my words, at this time next year, Wednesday's new comic day WON'T just be at your local comic-book shop.
